12. The Order of Decay

The Rot Lords, as they are more commonly known, formed a breakaway illegal school of magic when the Druidic Order expelled them for delving too deeply in the secrets of what makes a cell die. Allying with the Necromancers, they have taken up residence in and around a village on the south coast of the island.

Heroes:

Rot Lord
Primary Attribute: Intelligence
Range: Ranged
Description:
Master of degeneration and spreading disease. Deals damage over time, across a large area, and is difficult to pin down.

Hero Abilities
Q: Summon DetritivoresChannel to summon three waves of carrion eaters with poison attack to defend you in melee. Can burrow. Has spell resistance, and hit points are improved with Hero intelligence.
W: PestilenceChannelling spell. Summons a movable swarm of pestilent creatures, inflicting damage worth [12-44] plus 0.5% of max hp per second to all organic enemies in [350-590] area of effect. Effect lasts 16 seconds, spell lasts [15-39] seconds.
E: DecomposeSurvival skill. Temporarily feign death, replacing your body with a heap of rotting material, then recompose in [12-39] seconds. At the end of the spell the rotting material turns to gas, damaging nearby enemy ground units.
R: Debilitating SporesInfect target enemy with debilitating spores, reducing enemy attack speed by [14-70]%, Movement speed by [30-75]% and armor by [1-9]. Small area of effect around direct target. Lasts 4.5 / 13.5 seconds. Nearby corpses spawn funghi with Slow Poison.
D: Swarm (limit break)Send a swarm of winged parasites flying in the direction of your spell. Deals damage randomly to enemies in a large area in their path.

Plague Reaper
Primary Attribute: Agility
Range: Melee
Description:
Area effect melee hero specializing in debilitation and damage over time effects.

Hero Abilities
Q: Theft of HopeChannelling. Steal [24-120] life per second from an enemy. If you channel long enough, use the life force to create summons at the enemy’s feet.
W: Plague WindSend three slow-moving gusts of plagued wind to deal [30-150] damage each in an area in front of you.
E: Pillar of DecaySummons an immobile ward that causes enemy units to suffer -[12-60]% movement speed reduction in 800 area of effect, and periodically summons a damage dealing locust every 2 seconds.
Cooldown improves with levels. Ward hit points improve with caster intelligence. Locust damage improves with levels and agility.
R: Blade TossToss one of your blades in the direction of the order, dealing area effect damage behind the point of impact for 40 + Strength x ability level.
D: CalamityLet those who still cling to their flesh beware! Big area effect damage around you.

Description: Ranged DPS

Range: Midrange
Movement type: Foot
Special: 1. Spawn a locust on death to harrass enemies briefly, 2. 10% chance to critical for +50% damage.

Tier 4:

Rotting Mage
Description: Support / Healer
Armor type: Light
Damage type: Magic
Range: Ranged
Movement type: Foot
Special: 1. Line attack damaging enemies behind first target, 2. Rotten Heal: Heals a target friendly non-mechanical wounded unit for 80 hit points. If target is below half max hp, spawn a small plague wind. If target is below a quarter, spawn a flesh burrower when it dies.

Tier 5:

Rot Magister
Description: Magic DPS / Summoner
Armor type: Medium
Damage type: Corrosive
Range: Ranged
Movement type: Foot
Special: Attacks cause 25% reduction to all healing for the enemy for 12 seconds. Summons Rotlings and Carrion Eaters with poison attacks. Cast Unrot to regenerate nearby organic allies.

Tier 6:

Ghost Shambler
Description: Tank
Armor type: Heavy
Damage type: Blunt
Range: Melee
Movement type: Hover
Special: 1. Bash 7.5% for +80, 2. Continually spawns locusts, 3. Minor degeneration aura costs nearby enemies a % of their life every second.

Tier 7:

Rot Dragon
Description: Flying DPS
Armor type: Medium
Damage type: Corrosive
Range: Ranged
Movement type: Flying
Special: 1. Plague Breath, occasional extra damage with a DoT.
Tier 7: Spell shield, damage reduction, resistant skin.

Tier 8:

Rot Walker
Description: Dueler
Armor type: Hides
Damage type: Piercing
Range: Melee
Movement type: Foot
Special: 1. Rot Touch, deals 30 DPS and slows attack by 30% and movement by 40% for the target, 2. Continually spawn locusts.
T8: Spell shield, damage reduction, resistant skin.

Tier 9:

Draug Giant
Description: Tank / antimass
Armor type: Heavy
Damage type: Hero
Range: Melee
Movement type: Foot
Special: 1. Cleaving attack, 2. Fear aura:: (-20% damage in 350 area), 3. Howl of Terror (-15% in 1200).
Tier 9: Spell shield, damage reduction, resistant skin.
