Faction 14: Snake men

14. The Reptilian Army

The snake men of the southeastern jungles belong to an ancient race created by a demigoddess in the form of a snake. To this day she remains their official leader, as well as the centre of their religious cult. It is said she still lives in the deep parts of the ruined temple that dominates the jungle. Her continued attempts to spawn a superior warrior race have produced a great variety of forms among her offspring.

Primary Attribute: Agility
Range: Melee
Description:
Versatile melee and midrange fighter with summons and poison attacks. Belongs to the frontline caste of the reptilian army, where the lower ranks fight as skirmishers, and the elite are given hydra mounts to ride into battle as shock troops.

Hero Abilities
Q: Venom SpewSpew venom at target location, hitting several enemies.
Damage: 45 x AbilLevel + Agility.
Also adds a poison effect causing -1[-9] armor reduction and -6[-30]% attack damage reduction.
W: Whiplash StrikeSwing at all nearby enemies, dealing [60-540] + half of Strength+Agility hero type damage and interrupting their current order. Works in synergy with Snake Venom.
E: Reptile ReflexesPassive. Reduces all attacks on the hero by [2-18] damage. Minimum 3 dmg. Also adds a periodic [18-90]% attack and movement speed boost for the hero which lasts [3-15] seconds. 16s cooldown.
R: Poisoned DaggerHurls a poisoned dagger which deals [75-675] initial damage, and then 5 x [30-135] over 15 seconds. The poisoned unit has its movement speed slowed for a short duration.
D: Summon Young Hydra (limit break)Summons a powerful Hydra with a multishot attack. Its hit points increase with your Intelligence, and its armor increases by 1/20th of your agility.

Snakemaster
Primary Attribute: Intelligence
Range: Ranged
Description:
Summoner and slippery midrange caster with versatile attack, escape and defense.

Hero Abilities
Q: Viper’s NestSummon [2x level] aggressive snakes that attack with slow poison. Vipers are spell immune and have a high evasion.
W: Reptilian TotemSpawn an immobile totem to attack enemies at range with a bouncing attack. 1.5 second attack cooldown, 5 second duration. Hits 4 enemies per attack, 10% reduction per target.
E: Reptile ReflexesPassive. Reduces all attacks on the hero by [2-18] damage. Minimum 3 dmg. Also adds a periodic [18-90]% attack and movement speed boost for the hero which lasts [3-15] seconds. 16s cooldown.
R: Summon ManeatersSummon two powerful Maneaters to attack enemies in melee and absorb damage.
Hero intelligence affects their stats.
D: Feeding Frenzy (limit break)Channelling spell. Summon waves of wing lizards, culminating in an adult.

All heroes have additional skills which will appear during play.

Snake Soldier
Description: Basic melee unit of the reptilian army. A rudimentarily equipped and trained snakeman soldier.

Special: 6% evasion.

Tier 2:

Snake Bowman
Description: Basic ranged unit of the reptilian army. A snakeman trained in the use of the bow.
Armor type: Medium

Movement type: Foot
Special: none

Tier 3:

Snake Spearman
Description: Midrange DPS. A snakeman belonging to a more powerful breed, trained in the use of throwing javelins.
Armor type: Unarmored
Damage type: Piercing
Range: Ranged
Movement type: Foot
Special: Poisoned spears.

Tier 4:

Basilisk
Description: Melee DPS
Armor type: Light
Damage type: Corrosive
Range: Melee
Movement type: Flying
Special: 1. Basilisk poison: Stacking reduction of attack speed and movement speed, 2. Spawns a minor basilisk on death. Minor basilisk has minor basilisk poison.

Tier 5:

Wizened Snake
Description: Ranged DPS
Armor type: Medium
Damage type: Magic
Range: Long range
Movement type: Amphibious
Special: Line attack; strike through initial target. Can swim.

Tier 6:

Snakeman Juggernaught
Description: Melee Tank / DPS
Armor type: Heavy
Damage type: Cutting
Range: Melee
Movement type: Foot
Special: Slashing area effect attack, 10% chance to block 25 damage.

Tier 7:

Magic Lizard
Description: Flying DPS
Armor type: Medium
Damage type: Magic
Range: Midrange
Movement type: Flying
Special: 1. Evasion, 2. Releases a bouncing attack every 12 seconds, 3. Snake magic blessing: heals an ally and adds 25% damage for 4.5 seconds.
Tier 7: Spell shield, damage reduction, resistant skin.

Tier 8:

King Cobra
Description: Artillery
Armor type: Medium
Damage type: Corrosive
Range: Long range
Movement type: Foot
Special: Very long range. Line attack
T8: Spell shield, damage reduction, resistant skin.

Tier 9:

Elder Hydra
Description: Giant Tank / antimass
Armor type: Heavy
Damage type: Corrosive
Range: Long range
Movement type: Foot
Special: Multishot attack: six additional targets take minor damage. High regeneration.
Tier 9: Spell shield, damage reduction, resistant skin.
